FAIR AMBASSADOR 2008-2009
Laura Lebert
I
am a graduate from St. Philip’s catholic elementary
school. I am currently
in my last year of studies as a student at LCCVI
My future aspirations
are to complete my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at
The University of Western Ontario.
I
am presently involved with various groups in my school,
including Partners Active in Resource Sharing, Athletic
Association, School Council and Bully Busters. I have also been involved
in LCCVI’s concert band playing the French horn, and
play the piano as a pastime.
I
have helped run several events throughout the community
consisting of a HOBY leadership workshop, Petrolia’s
Xtreme Soccer Camp, Grade nine Orientation, and Elementary
Girls Basketball Camps.
I
have been a member of Petrolia Minor Soccer since in 1996
and of Petrolia Minor Hockey beginning in 1998. Since entering high
school, I have been a part of the Girls Basketball team,
Girls Hockey team, and the Track and Field team every year. One
of my favourite hobbies is playing sports and being active.
I have been a
former Senior Princess of the Petrolia and Enniskillen Fall
Fair in 2003, and I felt becoming Ambassador was an appropriate
stepping stone in my community involvement. I am looking
forward to a fascinating year, and cannot wait to see what
the future has in store for me.
